Sacrificial anodes are wearing parts

The first boats are let back into the water. But many boat owners wonder if they have to exchange their sacrificial anode already. In general, a sacrificial anode is a consumable part and must therefore be regularly replaced by a new anode. If the sacrificial anode is worn, it can no longer optimally protect the boat from corrosion. If your anode is already heavily oxidized, we advise you to replace it quickly. But from what degree of wear is the sacrificial anode worn? Here the experts argue. We recommend to change the anode from a wear rate of 25%. This is the only way to ensure that the anode will work for the entire following season.
