Help, I have corrosion on my boat although I use a sacrificial anode!

Occasionally we get calls and letters that customers have corrosion on their boats, although a sacrificial anode is installed. That can have several reasons:

1. You are using the wrong anode material for your boat/water type.
2. Inferior raw material qualities of other manufacturers were used. There are many contaminated zinc anodes on the market. Therefore use only zinc anodes according to EN 1179 Z1.
3. The sacrificial anode is mounted under electrical isolation(assembly error).
4. The installed anode is too small.
