Cracks in your new anode

You have received your ordered aluminium sacrificial anode with a crack? Don’t worry, this is no reason to panic! During the production of workpieces, cracks or sink marks can occasionally occur during the cooling process after casting – a natural effect known as shrinkage. This can occur occasionally, especially with aluminium-indium anodes (AlZn5In).

However, it is important that these cracks or sink marks do not have a negative effect on the functionality of the anode. They merely impair the external appearance. Unlike other manufacturers who may alloy the outer appearance of their products with silicon to beautify them, we focus on the quality and functionality of our anodes.
